In case you’ve been wondering… I have decided to hold off on reaction about the Roy Halladay deal until it is final… trust me… I’ll have a lot to say when the deal OFFICIALLY gets done.
The final part of the Toronto Star’s “Minor Hockey… Major Problems” series has been posted at this link… looks like the final installation of this series finally discusses some solutions. Overall it’s been a good read… and a lot of fun to follow. Good on the Star for getting in depth into something like this.
So long Bart Andrus! The Argos finally came to their senses today and “sacked” Bart Andrus as their head coach. It was a garbage season for the Argos who finished 3-15… and really couldn’t muster anything all season.
The Toronto Star has printed Part 4 of the “Minor Hockey… Major Problems” series on their website. This most recent article talks about coaches and their verbal abuse of officials.
Another visit from the Peterborough Petes… and another shootout loss for the Belleville Bulls at the Yardmen Arena last night.
Despite a 41 save effort from rookie netminder Tyson Teichmann… the Bulls just couldn’t get it done… letting a two goal lead slip away… with Peterborough’s Pat Daley netting the shootout winner.
Kyle Decoste and Michael Curtis did the scoring for the Bulls who get on the bus and head north today.
They get set for a matchup with the red-hot Soo Greyhounds tomorrow… and the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday.
I was lucky enough to have the call on the game for TV Cogeco… check out some highlights below.
The Bulls head up north to take on the Soo Greyhounds and Sudbury Wolves over the weekend.
The first thing I want to show you guys to start off Round 3 of the F-Files is a series currently being printed by the Toronto Star. It’s a series titled “Minor Hockey, Major Problems”, and part one was put out in this past Saturday’s edition. Part one deals with racism in minor hockey…. here’s the link.
Part 2…. deals with the rise of incidents involving players abusing officials.
And… Part 3 will be printed today… it deals with “head shots” and kids ending their careers as early as 13.
I seriously suggest you read these articles… and please feel free to comment with your thoughts!!!!
Keep it locked… I’ll post the other links when the stories are released.
