Rock the Waves Contest Rules
The Rock the Waves Contest (the “Contest”) is conducted by Quinte Broadcasting Inc. and is subject to these Contest Rules, together with the Quinte Broadcasting General Contest Rules. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions of Quinte Broadcasting Inc., which are final.
Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees of Quinte Broadcasting Inc., HighFalls Outfitters, participating sponsors, their advertising and promotional agencies, affiliates and associates, as well as members of their immediate families (including parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren) and persons with whom such employees are domiciled, are not eligible to enter or win.
Identification must be produced upon request.
No one person or member of their immediate family or household may win more than one prize from Quinte Broadcasting within any thirty (30) day period. Individuals are only eligible to win major contests (prizes with a value over $500) on Quinte Broadcasting radio stations once every three hundred and sixty-five (365) days. However, if an individual wins a daily prize (value of $100 or less) within a thirty (30) day period, they remain eligible to win a major contest during that same thirty (30) day period.
Contest Period
The Rock the Waves Contest begins on Monday, July 13, 2026, and continues through Friday, August 14, 2026, during which listeners will have opportunities to qualify for the Grand Prize as announced on-air and through official contest materials.
The final qualifier will be selected on Friday, August 14, 2026.
All eligible qualifiers will be invited to attend the Rock the Waves Reverse Draw Event on Saturday, August 22, 2026, where the Grand Prize winner will be determined through a live reverse draw.
How to Qualify
Listeners may qualify for the Rock the Waves Reverse Draw by participating in the on-air contest as announced on MIX 97, ROCK 107 and CJBQ during the Contest Period.
Contestants may attempt to qualify as often as permitted during the Contest Period.
Each week, ten (10) Grand Prize qualifiers will be selected for the Reverse Draw Event.
A listener may make multiple attempts to qualify during a given week; however, once they have been selected as one of the ten (10) weekly Grand Prize qualifiers, they become an official qualifier for the Reverse Draw and are no longer eligible to qualify again during the remainder of the Contest.
Only one (1) qualifying position will be awarded per person.
A total of fifty (50) Grand Prize qualifiers will be selected over the course of the Contest. Each official qualifier will receive one (1) position in the Reverse Draw Event.
If a listener who has already qualified is selected again, or is otherwise determined to be ineligible to receive an additional qualifying position, Quinte Broadcasting Inc. will select another eligible contestant in accordance with the contest procedures.
The final Grand Prize qualifier will be selected on Friday, August 14, 2026.
Reverse Draw Event Rules
The Reverse Draw Event will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at a location and time designated by Quinte Broadcasting Inc.
Attendance
Attendance at the Reverse Draw Event is mandatory.
Each qualifier must personally attend the event and complete the official check-in process before the designated check-in deadline.
Qualifiers must present valid government-issued photo identification during check-in.
Contestants who fail to check in by the designated deadline, arrive after check-in has closed, leave the event before the Grand Prize winner has been declared, or otherwise fail to comply with event instructions will be disqualified and will forfeit their opportunity to win.
Contestants must be present to win.
The reverse draw will continue until one (1) eligible contestant remains.
If the final remaining contestant is not present when declared the potential winner, that contestant will be disqualified and the reverse draw will continue until an eligible contestant who is present is declared the winner.
The decisions of Quinte Broadcasting Inc. regarding the administration of the Reverse Draw Event are final.
Quinte Broadcasting Inc. reserves the right to modify event procedures if circumstances beyond its reasonable control require such action while maintaining the integrity of the Contest.
